Business Development Superstar

This position is responsible for implementing marketing programs and capabilities, in conjunction with the President/Chief Operating Officer, that will enable the firm to attain company growth and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research the market and utilize industry resources to generate new leads.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue priority business opportunities that will increase revenues to levels required by the Marketing/Business plans.
  • Implement and administrate the Business Development group in forecasting certain market potentials in design sales promotion programs and in applying sales, marketing, promotional concepts to develop new business opportunities.  Including but not limited to seminars, presentations, and company activities.
    • Assigns contact responsibility.
    • Develops necessary schedules.
    • Provide follow-up for all past clients through correspondence, calls, and meetings.
    • Assist in ground-breakings, grand openings, etc.  Keep current on all on-going client relations via the project managers.
    • Develop prospects through personal visits and associations with VIP’s, decision makers, and through activities in civic and professional organizations.
  • Participates with the officers of the firm in the formulation of the overall business and marketing objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and implement a business development training program for both the marketing and senior technical professionals in the firm (on a semi-annual basis).
  • Forecast fiscal year sales activity level and apportion to each month. 
  • Develop and execute marketing, advertising, and media plans.
  • Develop sales presentations to clients.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • 4 year college degree in marketing, information technology or other communication-related field such as advertising.
  • 5+ years A/E industry experience.
  • Knowledge in internet tools and subjects such as HTML, CSS design, JAVA, etc.
  • Proficient with office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, Photo Shop, Adobe InDesign and a deep knowledge of technical/digital marketing channels.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Self motivated, collaborative, and action oriented individual.
  • Self-starter with high energy, flexible and dependable disposition and a willingness to be a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete responsibilities on a timely basis in a deadline-driven environment.
